In this tutorial we will be sending an email to our Joomla users. This can be used to communicate new site functionality to users, or as a very simple newsletter component.
To begin navigate to Tools >> Mass Mail
You can choose exactly which group to send to, but if you would like to send to a group and all of it's child groups, check Mail to Child Groups:
If you are going to use HTML content in your mailing check Send in HTML mode:. If you use HTML, there is a higher chance of getting caught in SPAM filters.
Then select the group or groups to email to
Then enter a subject and message
Then click the Send mail button
