In this tutorial we will be exploring the DocMAN configuration
Begin by clicking on Configuration from the DocMAN control panel
This is where you can change the folder you store your documents in. You can change it to any location you like, but it needs to be writable

Set this to off if you do not want regular users to have access. This is useful when upgrading or testing the system
You can edit the type of file extensions that can be viewed. This can keep regular users from access certain doc types
You can set the number of documents to show per page
You can change the default sort order
You can allow users to discuss documents on your site
You can change the size of the icons to fit your site's style
You can set DocMAN to automatically clean up the output. This will save bandwidth and loading time
You can set how long a document is marked a new document
You can set how many times a document needs to be downloaded to be considered hot
You can enter licenses for your documents, and set if they should be displayed here

You can change the permissions for guests to your site. These are users who are not logged in
You can set the lowest user group that has access to upload new documents
You can set the lowest user group that has access to approve newly uploaded documents
You can set the lowest user group that has access to publish newly approved documents
You can set which user or group can view documents
You can set if the document creator or maintainer can change who has access to view the document

You can set the methods that users can use to upload files
You can set the largest size an uploaded file can be. There may be filesize restrictions set by your server software as well

If this is set to yes register users can upload all files, ignoring the previous restrictions
